As Strategic Innovations Director, you will play a critical role in defining and advancing the strategies that drive growth, differentiation, and long-term innovation across our Diagnostics business. This is a senior, enterprise-visible opportunity for a strategic leader who thrives in complexity and seeks to influence healthcare at scale.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Innovations, you will lead high-priority initiatives end-to-end and partner closely with senior stakeholders across Strategy & Business Development, Marketing, R&D, Medical Affairs, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations to translate insight into sustained value across the Diagnostics portfolio.

Your work will influence investment choices, portfolio direction, and the innovation roadmap that defines the future of Diagnostics.
What You’ll Do
• Define and advance the strategic innovation agenda for Siemens Healthineers Diagnostics in alignment with enterprise priorities, clinical needs, and long-term growth objectives.
• Identify and prioritize clinical and technological unmet needs, emerging innovation areas, market dynamics, and competitive trends to inform business, investment, and R&D pipeline strategy.
• Lead cross-functional, enterprise-level innovation initiatives through a disciplined stage-gated process to outline, evaluate, de-risk, negotiate, and launch strategic and operational opportunities.
• Lead market, clinical, technical, intellectual property, and asset valuation assessments to build conviction around licensing, collaboration, partnership, venture investment, and M&A opportunities.
• Build and sustain portfolio analytics, KPIs, standard work processes and elements, as well as, performance insights to enable data-driven strategy
• Deliver clear, concise, executive-ready recommendations to senior leadership to inform business strategy
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred, with clinical, scientific, engineering, or healthcare training strongly valued.
• 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, including medtech, life sciences, pharma, consulting, investing, or related environments.
• 5+ years in strategy, business development, corporate development, management consulting, venture investing, open innovation, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of the diagnostics and broader healthcare ecosystem, including clinical workflows, providers, payers, pharma, research institutions, and emerging technology companies.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level, cross-functional strategic innovation initiatives through structured evaluation and decision-gate processes.
• Experience assessing external opportunities through market and technical diligence, intellectual property analysis, asset valuation, and strategic fit evaluation.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, develop executive- and Board-ready recommendations, negotiate effectively, and manage external partnerships with strong business judgment, analytical rigor, and executive presence.
Additional Details
This is a remote-based, Director-level individual contributor role requiring flexibility to collaborate across global time zones. The scope of the role may evolve as the function grows. Anticipated travel is up to 30%.

The base pay range for this position is:
$143,900 - $197,868Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
