Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

About the job

The Office of the CEO partners directly with the CEO and executive leadership to drive high-impact strategic decisions. The work spans market trends, competitive dynamics, business models, and the data and external perspectives needed to inform critical decisions. As a lean, high-performing team, the Office of the CEO tackles the questions that matter most with rigor, clarity, and an outside-in perspective.

As a Strategic Initiatives Analyst, you will be a pathfinder for the organization, uncovering signals in complex markets and building the fact base that informs strategic decisions. You will research markets and competitors, collaborate with research firms and internal stakeholders, and build the analyses needed to answer strategic questions. You will synthesize financial filings, third-party research, and other data sources to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics, developing the judgment to understand what matters and where to look next.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Monitor competitor announcements, earnings calls, investor days, and industry news, and flag what senior leadership needs to know
  • Build and maintain the competitive fact base, including competitor profiles, financial and product trackers, and market data
  • Pull and synthesize data from third-party research, financial filings, and industry sources to answer specific research questions
  • Turn analysis into clear briefs, charts, and slides that surface key insights for leadership
  • Support market sizing and financial models by developing the underlying data and assumptions
  • Respond to quick-turn research requests from senior stakeholders and business partners, often on short timelines
  • Use AI-enabled research tools to work through large volumes of source material and surface what matters
  • Document sources and methods so findings can be traced, reviewed, and reused

Some of the experience we are looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, equity research, consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a related analytical field, including internship experience
  • Experience with quantitative analysis in Excel

Preferred qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, equity research, consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy
  • Experience researching companies and industries using financial filings, third-party research, and industry sources
  • Experience supporting financial models by developing underlying data and assumptions
  • Experience building briefs, charts, and slides for leadership audiences
  • Experience using AI-enabled research tools
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and manage multiple requests on short timelines

What you'll receive for the great work you provide:
  • Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Life Insurance
  • Short-term and Long-term Disability
  • Matching 401(k) Contributions
  • Vacation and Paid Sick Time
  • Tuition Reimbursement
