Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your DayThe Strategic Buyer independently executes end-to-end operational purchasing activities and manages supplier interactions to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and timely supply of equipment and services. The role includes ownership of purchase order lifecycle management, supplier performance monitoring, and execution of continuous improvement initiatives. The role works closely with cross-functional team members in Engineering, Project Management and Quality to deliver Solutions to our Customers.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Negotiate prices and terms and conditions on complex transactions and support cost-efficient sourcing decisions based on the Total Cost of Ownership method, ensuring clear and transparent documentation of the final sourcing decision
  • Independently execute end-to-end operational purchasing processes, including purchase requisition processing and full purchase order lifecycle management
  • Lead supplier communication on order-related matters, proactively identify delivery or quality risks, and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Track, expedite, and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery while monitoring and addressing supplier delivery and quality performance issues
  • Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives, strategic supplier development and strategic sourcing activities.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ or more of project related experience in the energy or EPC business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals with differing knowledge levels.
  • Team oriented, customer focused, time management/organizational skills.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with terms and conditions concepts/negotiation of business position.
