Position

The Store Director, SoHo Flagship serves as the strategic and cultural leader of one of Moncler's most important boutiques in the Americas, with accountability for commercial performance, client experience, operational excellence, and the development of a high-performing team.

Located in the heart of SoHo, the flagship serves a diverse local and international clientele. The Store Director understands the New York luxury market, builds meaningful relationships within the community, and translates business insights into strategies that strengthen performance and Moncler's market presence.

The SoHo Flagship also serves as a training and development store for the Moncler Americas retail network. A critical part of this role is creating an environment where new hires, emerging leaders, and visiting employees can learn and experience Moncler standards through structured onboarding, coaching, and hands-on development. The Store Director ensures the leadership team is equipped to develop others and that the flagship consistently models best-in-class execution for the broader network.

This role partners closely with Regional Leadership and cross-functional teams to execute strategic priorities, develop future leaders, and represent the Moncler brand both inside and outside the boutique.

Your Impact

Business Leadership
  • Lead the overall performance of the SoHo Flagship, achieving sales, profitability, productivity, client development, and operational objectives.
  • Develop and execute store-specific business strategies in partnership with Regional Leadership, translating company priorities into clear action plans.
  • Analyze business trends, KPIs, inventory performance, traffic patterns, and market opportunities to identify opportunities and drive results.
  • Drive continuous improvement in key metrics including sales, conversion, UPT, CRM capture, productivity, repurchase rate, and inventory productivity.
  • Understand and proactively respond to the competitive environment and evolving New York luxury market, identifying opportunities to grow the business inside and outside the four walls.
  • Monitor operating expenses and store budgets while maximizing productivity and profitability.

Client Experience & Client Development
  • Champion the Moncler Client Promise and ensure the team consistently delivers exceptional, personalized luxury experiences.
  • Maintain a highly visible leadership presence on the sales floor through Client Experience Management (CEM), coaching in the moment and engaging directly with clients and VICs.
  • Build and sustain a strong culture of clienteling, networking, CRM excellence, and long-term relationship development.
  • Develop relationships with local, domestic, and international clientele while identifying opportunities to expand the store's client base.
  • Partner with Client Relations and other cross-functional teams to execute events, activations, and community initiatives that strengthen client engagement and brand awareness.
  • Resolve escalated client situations with professionalism, empathy, sound judgment, and a commitment to protecting the client relationship.

Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, inspire, coach, and develop the store leadership team and broader store population, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.
  • Set clear expectations for store leaders and ensure alignment across commercial performance, client experience, operational execution, and talent development.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain top luxury retail talent while building a strong internal and external talent pipeline.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, coaching sessions, and individualized development planning.
  • Build organizational capability through succession planning, talent reviews, continuous coaching, and deliberate development of future leaders.
  • Create an environment where feedback is timely, specific, and actionable and where strong performance is recognized and celebrated.

Training Store Leadership
  • Establish the SoHo Flagship as a best-in-class training environment that consistently demonstrates Moncler standards, culture, client experience, and operational excellence.
  • Own the store's readiness to support onboarding and development of new hires, newly appointed leaders, and visiting employees from across the Moncler Americas retail network.
  • Partner with Retail Training, Human Resources, Regional Leadership, and functional partners to translate learning priorities into practical in-store experiences and development plans.
  • Ensure the store leadership team is equipped to serve as effective trainers and coaches, providing consistent instruction, feedback, demonstrations, and follow-up.
  • Create structured opportunities for trainees to observe, practice, and apply Moncler standards across selling, clienteling, CEM, operations, product knowledge, and leadership routines.
  • Maintain strong execution of company programs and standards so that the flagship consistently serves as a model store for the network.
  • Provide meaningful feedback on trainee progress and identify opportunities to strengthen onboarding, training content, and field execution across the region.

Operations & Store Excellence
  • Provide strategic oversight of store operations, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness across scheduling, payroll, inventory management, cash handling, shipping and receiving, loss prevention, compliance, and after-sales service while empowering operational leaders to manage day-to-day execution.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising to maintain exceptional presentation standards and ensure the store consistently reflects Moncler's global brand image.
  • Safeguard company assets through strong operational controls and close partnership with Operations and Asset Protection.
  • Continuously evaluate store processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, inventory accuracy, and the overall client experience.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner closely with Regional Leadership, Human Resources, Retail Training, Operations, Merchandising, Planning, Visual Merchandising, Client Relations, Asset Protection, and Finance to drive store and regional priorities.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning to optimize product assortment, replenishment, inventory productivity, and commercial opportunities.
  • Support product launches, special projects, leadership visits, training initiatives, and regional priorities while ensuring exceptional execution.
  • Serve as a trusted field partner by providing thoughtful feedback and insights that help strengthen retail programs and execution across the network.

Brand & Community Leadership
  • Serve as a visible Moncler ambassador within the SoHo, New York, fashion, luxury, hospitality, and cultural communities.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, luxury partners, community organizations, and relevant networks that strengthen Moncler's market presence.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and discretion both inside and outside the boutique.
  • Lead inspiring team meetings and daily briefings that reinforce business priorities, learning, company values, and recognition.

Qualifications

Education

Compensation and Benefits

For positions based in Aspen, Moncler provides a good faith estimate of the salary range for the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including business needs, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, and certifications. The current estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000 annually.

In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for quarterly bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 7 paid holidays, accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation time, 4 personal days, 2 community service days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
