Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Storage Engineer provides infrastructure support for CA servers, storage platforms, systems, networking equipment, and hosted systems at DoS facilities both domestically and overseas.
Responsibilities:
- You will be part of the customer Infrastructure Support Team.
- You will be required to deliver comprehensive technical support for all customer global infrastructure, including coordination with Post local IT staff and cloud service providers.
- As the Storage Engineer you will support global enterprise storage solutions, including block, object, and network-attached storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) environments across multi-petabyte environments.
- You will execute transitions to hybrid or multi-cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to improve scalability, efficiency, and compliance with DoS policies.
- You will maintain security, load balancing, and Oracle appliances (e.g., Exadata, ZDLRA), ensuring correct patch levels and configuration.
- You are also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) environment, ensuring optimal integration and performance.
- You will also support infrastructure audits, security assessments, and compliance reporting, including system baseline validation.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 7+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- NetApp or Dell EMC storage certification
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
