DESCRIPTION

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced health education professional with a full understanding of industry practices and campus policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.The SPD Health Educator III applies training skills and technical experience to provide expertise, technical consultation, training, and problem resolution; Ensures adherence to sterile processing policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; Participates in continuous quality and safety assessment programs and process improvement initiatives; Participates in the establishment of quality standards for sterilization, decontamination, and disposal of equipment and supplies. Responsible for training and supports educational strategies that develop competency; Keeps up to date with advances in field. Others duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Four (4) full years of current experience as an active Educator making lesson plans and teaching and training.
  • Demonstrated expertise and thorough knowledge of all aspects of sterile processing operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Central Service Technician certification awarded by a NCCA accredited organization (e.g. IAHCSMM, CBSPD)preferred.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check.
