Full Job Description

As a Station Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the reliable operation and maintenance of the Grid Connection System. You will act as a key technical resource on site, supporting daily operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning activities. You will collaborate closely with the Station Manager, local technicians, project stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all service activities. As a key delegate of the Siemens Energy Representative, you will serve as Station Manager and lead the Local Technical Support Team to ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of the Grid Connection System. You will collaborate with your team to plan and organize daily site activities. As the primary point of contact for customers, authorities, contractors, and partners on-site, you will facilitate smooth communication and coordination. Additionally, you will work closely with project management and the back-office team to align and drive project success.

How to make an Impact
  • Ensure reliable operations of site assets by performing daily assessments, analyzing alarms/events, conducting fault diagnostics, and driving rapid response to grid-impacting issues.
  • Plan and execute maintenance strategies by prioritizing work, developing timely maintenance plans, coordinating outages, and ensuring efficient corrective actions.
  • Lead site activities and inspections including routine service programs (HVAC, fire systems, pest control) to maintain compliance, safety, and asset performance.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination and leadership by supervising technicians, liaising with global engineering teams, and communicating status, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Manage documentation, reporting, and inventory by maintaining RAMS data, tracking spare parts, producing performance reports, and ensuring accurate system records.
  • Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement by enforcing EHS standards, supporting cost and risk evaluations, guiding subcontractors, and facilitating lessons learned and technical escalation.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in transmission, power generation, or energy infrastructure roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of FACTS/HVDC systems, converter technology, transformers, circuit breakers, and associated auxiliary equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and use diagnostic and electronic measuring tools.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, maintenance planning, asset management, and execution of field or self-performed work.
  • Solid understanding of safety practices, including LOTO, compliance standards, and completion of required safety/emergency response training (including offshore, where applicable).
  • Demonstrated capability in client relations, contract and scope management, and supporting long-term service agreements.
