YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As a State Manager you are responsible for articulating Bacardi's vision and roadmap in your designated state/region through development and execution of market strategy to achieve maximum performance with broker/distributor management and relationship building with strategic accounts. You will lead, guide, and develop a successful sales team to drive results through actionable strategies, plans and programs. You will serve as the primary contact for local distributor leadership and partners, and lead business management. You will be based in Arizona.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Develop, implement, and achieve fiscal year sales goals for specific market focused on tactics and set Action Plans
  • Develop, implement, and execute sales programs and pricing strategy as well as review monthly account performance, including Revenue and Value Creation.
  • Lead strategic chain business initiatives working across national and regional accounts, delivering profitable growth through customer partnerships, category leadership, and executional excellence.
  • Conduct Monthly, quarterly and annual planning and review meetings with distributors to actively identify areas of market opportunity and address accordingly
  • Ongoing distributor management responsibilities including monitoring of KPI's, price points (including competitive set), orders, shipments, samples, training, and POS management
  • Supervise and Develop Direct Reports & provide guidance and direction to indirect reports (Influencers & Ambassadors) to ensure collaboration to achieve market goals & objectives
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with the top off & on-premise accounts, both regional chains and independents
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with NRS, NAOP, and Regional Chain Strategy teams to drive collaboration, alignment, and execution of strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with Distributors and Management personnel
  • Deliver fact-based selling presentations & Monthly GSMs to communicate BUSA objectives / brand strategies and keep brands at the forefront at Multiple Distributors
  • Conduct quarterly market analysis surveys/KPI audits in all major markets, as well as provide weekly/monthly reports and status/accomplishments recap to the Regional Director
  • Take accountability and full ownership of your region's P&L and produce effective forecasting to increase profitability and demonstrate a strong understanding of value chain economics
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen with an understanding and ownership of the marketplace pricing, structure, and strategy
  • Analyze and understand the competition. Stay informed on key competitor offerings that may affect volumes as well as staffing changes at distributors and competitors


SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or related area.
  • Ideally you will have 5+ years field sales experience, preferably in the Spirits and/or Beverage industry.
  • Ideally you will have supervisory/management experience and positive track record of developing winning teams.
  • Led strategic chain business initiatives across national and regional accounts within the spirits industry, delivering profitable growth through customer partnerships, category leadership, and executional excellence.
  • Ability to create, maintain and build long lasting relationships with key accounts, distributors, vendors & cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of performance and delivery against KPI's and annual goals & targets
  • With a Founder's mentality, you demonstrate exceptional financial acumen and decision making to achieve results.
  • You are influential and excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, distributor partners, Bacardi employees, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization.
  • You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet
