The Opportunity

As a State and Local Tax - Income Franchise - Manager, you will provide advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters, helping them navigate complex regulations and optimize their tax positions. Within our Tax practice, you will analyze and interpret local tax laws, assist businesses in complying with local requirements, and enhance their tax strategies. As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for confirming project success and maintaining standards. Enhancing your leadership style, you motivate, develop, and inspire others to deliver quality. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team members' unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. With your growing knowledge of how business works, you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our Firm. You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating our purpose and values in a meaningful way. You embrace technology and innovation to enhance your delivery and encourage others to do the same. In this role, you will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.

Responsibilities

- Analyzing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations to assist clients in optimizing their tax positions
- Leading teams in the planning, budgeting, execution, and completion of tax compliance projects
- Coaching team members to leverage their strengths and deliver quality client service
- Developing strategies for multistate tax compliance and payroll tax efficiency reviews
- Engaging in strategic questioning to identify opportunities for tax optimization
- Addressing conflicts and facilitating difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders
- Upholding professional and technical standards, including PwC tax guidance and independence requirements
- Utilizing analytical thinking to navigate complex tax regulations and provide actionable insights
- Embracing change and innovation to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction
- Conducting reverse audits and unclaimed property compliance reviews to validate tax positions

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

Job Posting End Date

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $266,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
