Job DescriptionThe Michigan Department of Treasury seeks an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Assistant Administrator for the Banking, Disbursements, and Reconciliation area within the Financial Services Division (FSD).In this key leadership role, you will oversee the State of Michigan's banking relationships and provide direction for Treasury's disbursement activities and statewide cash and check reconciliation. You will lead two critical operational areas: the Banking and Disbursements Section and the Support Services Section.
As Assistant Administrator, you will guide the planning, coordination, and management of essential financial functions, including:
- Banking and lockbox operations
- Statewide disbursement processes
- Cash and check reconciliation
- Administrative responsibilities such as performance management, employee training, and staff development
You will collaborate closely with the Division Administrator to advance both short- and long-term goals, helping to shape division strategy and ensure efficient, secure, and high-quality financial services for the State of Michigan.

Hybrid Remote Work. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you are a State of Michigan resident, this position is eligible to work remotely three days per week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) and is required to work on-site at the assigned official workstation two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday). Additionally, the selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions while performing the duties of this position, as well as secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Additional onsite work may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to management approval and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time.
