Job Description About this position:This position will function as the administrative manager for DTMB Agency Services Supporting the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO), with a focus on the Unemployment Insurance Agency. The administrative manager will be the second line manager for this work area and will be responsible for carrying out management duties for first line managers and their staff. The manager is responsible for leading the IT technical teams through the design, development, and implementation of software and system plans and performing other project related activities. Develops standard control mechanisms to manage IT software development products and updates including but not limited to risk management, quality assurance, and communication, issue and change management, and other project related controls. Manages the IT staff objectives that includes IT project efforts for completion within time and budget requirements, and to the customer's expectations. Providing direction and control of functions and activities in the work area including establishing priorities, allocating staff, and ensuring first line supervisors handle administrative, supervisory, and planning functions. The supervisory functions this position manages include employee evaluation, counseling, selection, provision of technical and policy guidance and training of employees.

Position Location:This position is located in Detroit, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Required Education and Experience EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
ExperienceFour years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Alternate Education and Experience Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
