Overview

Who we're looking for

Toyota's Press Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Stamping Manufacturing Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and improve our equipment in our shop.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Press Department's objective to ensure our equipment will safely produce high quality panels for our customers, through efficient, reliable, and cost-effective processes.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead improvement activities on laser weld machine, press machine, crane and scrap system
  • PFS (Problem Follow Sheet) tracking of all open issues until resolution
  • Ensure process safety, quality, integrity, and repeatability
  • Establishing/Improving RJ (Ryohin Joken)/WIS (Work Instruction Sheet)/ PMs (Project Management) to communicate and sustain change points.
  • Interface across multifunctional teams (Contractors/Skilled trades/PE/Quality/Production)


What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/engineering technology with experience in manufacturing
  • Proficient at XVL, AutoCAD and/or Inventor
  • Proficient in reading electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and tooling prints.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Project management experience
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position

  • Experience with laser weld and presses

  • Knowledge in TBP (Toyota Business Practices), JKK (Ji Kotei Kanketsu), RJ (Ryohin Joken), and FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
