Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Stakeholder & Communications Specialist provides stakeholder coordination to support the customer’s global mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the Stakeholder Management Plan (SMP) that describes how we will identify, engage, and coordinate with all stakeholders impacted by or supporting this effort.
- The SMP identifies all key stakeholders, including customer leadership, other DoS bureaus/offices, system and business owners, end users, and external partners, as applicable.
- You will document stakeholder roles, responsibilities, interests, and level of influence.
- You will describe our approach to stakeholder engagement across the program life cycle, including methods, frequency, and purpose of interactions (e.g., standing meetings, Agile ceremonies, reviews, workshops).
- You will also define how stakeholder engagement aligns with our Communication Plan, SDLC milestones, and Agile Product Management practices.
- You will specify communication channels, formats, and expectations for two-way information exchange.
- Describe how the contractor will coordinate with stakeholders on requirements development and prioritization, risk identification and mitigation, and review of proposed changes.
- The Stakeholder & Communications Specialist aligns stakeholder coordination with the Risk Management approach and the Change / Configuration Management Plan.
- You will describe timeframes and methods for informing the Government of significant stakeholder issues and their resolution.
- You will also identify mechanisms for collecting and incorporating stakeholder feedback (e.g., surveys, retrospectives, lessons learned).
- You will be responsible for describing how feedback will be analyzed and used to improve program management, communication, and delivery of services.
- You will also ensure consistency with the Program Management Plan.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 5+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
