Summary of Role:
As a Staff Systems Engineer in networking architecture, your job is to ensure that the hardware and software related to networking meets functionality and performance metrics.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Integrated Design & Simulation: Using industry standard tools to test and develop networking technology
- Networking System Requirements & Architecture: Defining the how networking is implemented —mapping out how data flows to and from central compute and control to sensors and motors in factory automation and robotics
- Testing & Validation: Prototyping and conducting hardware-in-the-loop testing to ensure behavior in the real world. Benchmarking competitive solutions.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in networking software or hardware design, or products utilizing networking
- Education –Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field through an accredited degree program
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Travel - Up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience
- Ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Embedded Networking: Ethernet, TSN, EtherCAT, PROFINET, HSR, PRP, other control networks experience
- Programming C/C++ (for real-time systems), scripting, Linux device drivers
- Networking Tools: Wireshark, Ixia, opensource tools like iperf3, pktgen
- Real-time motor control, RTOS, embedded systems
Expected Salary Range
$106,000.00 - $184,000.00
