Qualifications

• Experience with actuation systems including motors, gearing, ball screws, and software.
• Proficient in MATLAB and Simscape for dynamic, thermal, and power-flow analysis.
• Preferred knowledge in composites and lightweighting techniques.
• Experience in military/defense programs or government contracting is advantageous.
• Strong skills in interpreting technical documents and abstract concepts.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more engineering fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design and analysis across various technologies.
• Define system architecture based on customer requirements and standards.
• Manage and trace requirements, including subsystems and tolerances.
• Use simulation to verify performance, safety, and reliability.
• Create and oversee test plans and procedures globally.
• Conduct subsystem testing and assist in vehicle integration.
• Evaluate product designs to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Present technical data for multi-site strategic planning.
• Critique designs and foster best practices among teams.
• Collaborate with customers and teams on requirements and updates.
• Develop standard processes and mentor engineers at different levels.
• Serve as a technology expert and support innovation.
• Assist in proposal development, including technical documentation.
• Work independently with minimal oversight on major deliverables.
• Handle multiple projects across various locations.
• Occasional travel may be required (around 20%).
