Position Summary...

What you'll do...
We are the Marketplace Team at Walmart, and we share your enthusiasm! Walmart's mobile apps and website are used daily by millions of customers. As a member of the marketplace team, you'll be deeply involved with creating novel features that make seller's lives easier by linking digital and physical shopping experiences. Our team is energized and expanding rapidly- we are on the forefront of the battle for the future of retail. You'll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with a top-notch and diverse group of iOS, Android and services developers.

What you'll do:
As a Staff Engineer with the Marketplace team, you would:
  • Lead and participate in the design and development of iOS mobile software systems, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Design and implement sophisticated features in Walmart iOS applications.
    Analyze and optimize iOS applications.
  • Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, code integrity and work closely with platform team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
  • Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design.
  • Troubleshoots business and production issues.
  • Raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.
  • Rise above details as and when needed to spot broader issues/trends and implications for the product/team.
  • Continuously improve existing software systems, identifying areas for optimization and enhancement.


What you'll bring:
  • 11+ years of experience in design and development of highly scalable iOS applications development in product-based companies.
  • 10+ years experience with Pure native development.
  • 6+ years experience on Swift for iOS staff.
  • Strong technical background, with expertise in below disciplines.
  • Excellent in computer systems fundamentals, DS/Algorithms, and problem-solving skills. Shipped three or more iOS applications which are still available in the App Store.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills. Shipped three or more iOS applications which are still available in the App Store.
  • Familiarity and comfort with compilers, linkers, build systems, and project configuration.
  • Experience in delivering software using Test Driven development (TDD), Clean code, SOLID principles, Extreme programming (XP) and other best practices.
  • Experience and knowledge of open-source software, frameworks, and broader cutting-edge technologies.
