Job Summary The Staff Software Engineer - US Payroll Core HR will provide functional expertise in SAP HCM/Core HR to support payroll operations. The role will focus on personnel administration, organizational data, payroll-relevant master data, employee lifecycle events, and upstream HR integrations. The successful candidate will ensure Core HR changes are accurately reflected in payroll processes and will support data validation, conversion, and payroll readiness activities. Key Responsibilities • Support SAP HCM/Core HR or Workday Core HR functionality related to payroll operations. • Manage and validate personnel administration, organizational data, and payroll-relevant master data. • Work with actions, infotypes, effective dating, and employee lifecycle events. • Support integrations with upstream HR systems and ensure accurate flow of employee and organizational data. • Perform data validation and conversion activities to support payroll readiness. • Analyze Core HR changes and assess their impact on payroll processing. • Collaborate with HR, payroll, and technical teams to resolve data and integration issues. • Support payroll readiness activities and ensure HR master data is accurate and complete. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of functional experience supporting SAP HCM Payroll, SAP HCM Core HR, Workday Core HR, or related HRIS platforms. • Functional knowledge of SAP HCM or Workday Core HR supporting payroll. • Experience with personnel administration, organizational data, and payroll-relevant master data. • Understanding of HR actions, infotypes, effective dating, and employee lifecycle events. • Knowledge of integrations with upstream HR systems. • Experience with data validation and conversion activities. • Understanding of payroll readiness requirements and the impact of Core HR changes on payroll operations.
