- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience building highly available, low-latency, and scalable distributed systems for real-time communication.
About the jobWe're looking for talented software developers who love working on complex developing issues on service that has a very large and loyal customer base. As part of the team working on the core of Gmail's email delivery and routing infrastructure, you'll help evolve the platform, rebuilding and rethinking this critical infrastructure in order to meet requirements of customers and compliance requirements around the world. With a focus on backend server development, you will design, implement and roll out changes that will help improve the Gmail platform for its massive customer base. In addition, you'll be part of the team that monitors and investigates production health and ensures that the system is reliable, safe and secure.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
