JOB TITLE: Staff Recruiter

POSITION SUMMARY: Saul Ewing's Staff Recruiter will oversee and manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process for business professional staff positions within the firm. The individual in this role will be a permanent employee within the human resources department responsible for identifying, sourcing, and obtaining top talent on behalf of the firm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Actively reach out and source candidates through various recruitment methods
- Work with hiring manager to discuss needs of their team through an intake meeting
- Screen candidates for minimum requirements for the position and advise hiring manager on candidates
- Coordinate with the human resources assistant to schedule interviews, send offer letters, manage applicant tracking system, rejection letters, and initiating background checks
- Maintain communication with candidates on recruitment process and provide updates on the their candidacy
- Research and recommend salary ranges for opportunities to the human resources director and identify any gaps in order to maintain internal equity
- Assist the payroll department with tracking what employees are eligible for the employee referral program for referral hires
- Conduct professional reference checks
- Work with the human resources specialist on incoming candidate background checks including: attorney, staff, and temporary workers
- Partner with the compensation manager on designing and implementing a formal compensation structure with salary ranges firmwide
- Manage recruitment requests and monitor for accuracy
- Post opportunities on the firm careers page, LinkedIn, and other job portals
- Communicate with candidates about expectations leading up to their first day of employment after background check clears
- Work with attorney recruiting coordinator on monthly background check invoice
- Represent the firm professionally and ethically
- Participate in market research for compensation surveys
- Review job descriptions annually to ensure they are consistent with responsibilities
- Provide occasional recruiting support to the attorney recruiting department
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:- Understanding local, state, and federal laws to ensure fair and legal hiring practices
- Exceptional verbal and written skills to establish rapport with hiring managers and candidates
- Ability to find, attract, and engage with active and passive candidates using tools like job boards, LinkedIn, and social media
- Skilled at sourcing resumes, conducting interviews, and identifying if a candidate is a good fit for the position/firm
- Comfortable managing high volume hiring
- Provide a positive experience for all candidates
- Utilize hiring metrics and analytics to track hiring KPIs to optimize the hiring process
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience recruiting within a law firm or in a recruiting agency specializing in legal
- Experience managing an applicant tracking system (Dayforce experience a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to manage upwards and downwards

PAY TYPE:SALARY
COMPENSATION:The pay for this position will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, education, external market data, internal equity, and other job-related factors. The anticipated pay range for this role is between $90,000 - $100,000 annually.
Saul Ewing follows a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of our office locations.
