Staff Project Controls Specialist, you will:
- Leads project controls processes to ensure deliverables are executed on time and within budget.
- This role supports project management teams with scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and reporting, while serving as a key point of contact for technical and financial project matters.
Key Responsibilities: - Set up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls software and maintain accurate data, logs, and reports.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedules, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
- Support engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control.
- Approve purchase orders/subcontracts for proper coding and document cost changes.
- Interface with project management and accounting teams to review costs, contingencies, and audits.
- Manage change orders (prime contracts, purchase orders, subcontracts).
- Prepare and present cash flow reports and schedule progress updates.
- Apply critical path scheduling techniques, resource loading, and earned value management.
- Conduct schedule "what if" scenarios, progress measurement, and develop progress curves.
- Perform material takeoffs, quality checks, and field audits to validate reporting accuracy.
- Assist with project forensic analysis and other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of direct project controls experience.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification (or ability to obtain).
Pay Range: $48 - $53 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
