Full Job Description
As the Staff Program Manager, Operational Quality, you monitor day-to-day operational performance against SOPs and operational commitments - uptime, recovery time, on-time delivery - across Aurora's operational ecosystem. You support escalation resolution, maintain scorecard data integrity, and flag emerging performance risk to leaders across Autonomous Operations.
This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment on when to escalate, and the ability to operate effectively across a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
In this role, you will
• Monitor day-to-day vendor operational performance against SOPs and commitments (uptime, recovery time, on-time delivery) and flag deviations promptly.
• Support resolution of active escalations, coordinating with category leads, Command Center, and field operations as needed.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of scorecard and performance data used in metric reviews and leadership reporting.
• Identify emerging performance risk trends and proactively flag them to Autonomous Operations leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring processes and escalation models, applying Lean/DMAIC principles where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, performance monitoring, quality management, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity, with experience maintaining scorecards or performance dashboards.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and escalate operational risks in a timely, well-organized manner.
• Effective communication skills across cross-functional and multi-level stakeholder groups.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or autonomous vehicle operations.
• Certifications such as PMP, CSP, Six Sigma, CFSE/P, or other relevant safety or project management certifications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Experience developing, implementing and improving Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs)
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance processes related to safety standards.
• Experience with Jira, Jama, Confluence, Google Suite.
For roles based in Coppell, TX: The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $166,500 per year.
Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
We believe in-person work increases collaboration, empathy, and our ability to lead effectively. As a result, Aurorans are expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week, with some roles requiring more frequent in-office presence, up to 5 days per week, based on operational needs.
