As a Staff Product Designer, you'll be a strategic partner, deeply embedded in understanding user needs and translating complex challenges into intuitive, impactful design solutions. You'll have the opportunity to revolutionize experiences across our B2B and merchant-facing products, as well as our B2C campus and corporate dining experiences. We're looking for a designer who views design as a core business lever, thrives in ambiguity, and takes complete ownership of the design process from end-to-end.

The Impact You Will Make
  • Own the Design Vision: Lead the design strategy and execution for key initiatives, including launching greenfield (0-1) features and delivering significant improvements to existing products.
  • Deep User Discovery & Research: Partner with UXR to conduct in-depth user discovery and lead design-led user research to uncover unmet needs, pain points, and opportunities across our B2B, B2C campus, and merchant ecosystems.
  • Strategic Impact: Partner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define product strategy, roadmap, and requirements, ensuring design excellence is integrated throughout the product lifecycle. You will demonstrate a solid understanding of how our business works and oversee a specific area, providing leadership across the product organization in your areas of expertise.

  • Design at Scale: Proactively identify opportunities for new components and patterns within your workstream and partner with the design system team to see them to fruition.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate design rationale, build consensus, and influence decision-making among cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Navigating Ambiguity: Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, embracing ambiguity and proactively identifying opportunities to bring clarity and direction to complex problems.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Act as a mentor to other designers, elevating the craft and contributing to the overall growth and health of the design organization.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and their impact to diverse audiences. You are effective in a variety of communication settings: one on one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to drive initiatives, influence stakeholders, and work autonomously. You require minimal support and direction.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools, including AI assisted prototyping tools (Figma, Figma Make, Vercel, Loveable, etc). You will continually shape how the team leverages best practices and methodologies.
