Reddit is looking for a Staff People Integrations Engineer to own, maintain, and scale the integrations that connect Workday with Reddit's expanding People technology ecosystem.

This role sits within the People Platform team and is responsible for ensuring critical employee, candidate, contractor, benefits, identity, and workforce data moves reliably, securely, and efficiently across Reddit's People systems. You will own the health and evolution of our Workday integration portfolio while partnering closely with People Product Managers, P&C Operations, Analytics, Talent, Total Rewards, Fin Apps, Security, IT, and People leadership to connect new technologies and translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Workday integrations and strong experience connecting Workday with a broad range of enterprise and People systems. You are also comfortable with advanced Workday reporting, calculated fields, APIs, data mapping, integration security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation. Experience with SQL, cloud data platforms, and data pipelines is valuable as we expand the team's data engineering capabilities over time.

If you're energized by making systems work seamlessly, solving complex technical problems, and building the data flows that enable great employee experiences, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

Workday Integrations & Ecosystem Connectivity
  • Own the health, maintenance, enhancement, and support of Reddit's Workday integration portfolio and the broader connections across our People technology ecosystem.
  • Develop and support Workday Studio integrations, EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect integrations, APIs, and web services.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Workday and adjacent People systems, and design scalable integration approaches as Reddit continues to expand its People technology stack.
  • Design and implement scalable automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Own integration delivery across the full lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing, deployment, documentation, monitoring, production support, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Establish strong monitoring, alerting, reconciliation, and incident-response practices; troubleshoot integration failures, investigate root causes, and implement durable solutions.

Workday Configuration & Reporting
  • Support advanced Workday configuration, including business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, validation rules, security-related troubleshooting, and configuration enhancements.
  • Design and maintain complex Workday reports, dashboards, and data extracts supporting operational, compliance, reporting, and analytics needs.
  • Partner with Product Managers and P&C Operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Support testing, release management, and deployment activities for Workday enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Monitor Workday feature releases and evaluate opportunities to improve functionality and automation.

Data Pipelines & Emerging Capabilities
  • Partner with Analytics and enterprise Data teams to support reliable movement and transformation of People data for workforce analytics, reporting, AI-enabled workflows, and operational processes.
  • Support data movement and transformation into OneModel, BigQuery, AWS Redshift, and downstream reporting tools, while identifying opportunities for the People Platform team to assume greater ownership of People data pipelines over time.
  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance across People systems.
  • Contribute to data models, mappings, SQL transformations, lineage, testing standards, and operational runbooks based on team priorities and demonstrated experience.
  • Improve monitoring, observability, and support processes across the People systems landscape.

Technical Standards & Governance
  • Partner with the Senior Manager, People Platform to implement approved integration patterns, architecture standards, and technical governance practices.
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, audit, and change management requirements.
  • Support SOX controls, access reviews, change management processes, and audit requests as required.
  • Contribute to architecture reviews and recommend improvements to integration patterns, reporting solutions, and system reliability.

Stakeholder Partnership
  • Partner with People Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Work closely with P&C Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Security, IT, Analytics, Fin Apps and People leadership.
  • Evaluate new People technologies and advise on integration feasibility, reporting requirements, data flow implications, and technical implementation approaches.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Workday integrations within People Technology or enterprise systems environments.
  • Deep experience with Workday integrations, including Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, APIs, and web services.
  • Strong experience with Workday calculated fields, advanced reporting, integration-related configuration, business processes, condition rules, and security concepts.
  • Experience developing and supporting complex Workday reports, dashboards, and data extracts.

About Reddit

Reddit is an American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Registered members submit content to the site such as links, text posts, images, and videos, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into user-created boards called "communities" or "subreddits", which cover topics such as news, politics, religion, science, movies, video games, music, books, sports, fitness, cooking, pets, and image-sharing. Submissions with more upvotes appear towards the top of their subreddit and, if they receive enough upvotes, ultimately on the site's front page. Although there are strict rules prohibiting harassment, it still occurs, and Reddit administrators moderate the communities and close or restrict them on occasion. Moderation is also conducted by community-specific moderators, who are not considered Reddit employees. As of September 2021, Reddit ranks as the 19th-most-visited website in the world and 7th most-visited website in the U.S., according to Alexa Internet. About 42–49.3% of its user base comes from the United States, followed by the United Kingdom at 7.9–8.2% and Canada at 5.2–7.8%. Twenty-two percent of U.S. adults aged 18 to 29 years, and 14 percent of U.S. adults aged 30 to 49 years, regularly use Reddit. Reddit was founded by University of Virginia roommates Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian, with Aaron Swartz, in 2005. Condé Nast Publications acquired the site in October 2006. In 2011, Reddit became an independent subsidiary of Condé Nast's parent company, Advance Publications. In October 2014, Reddit raised $50 million in a funding round led by Sam Altman and including investors Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel, Ron Conway, Snoop Dogg, and Jared Leto. Their investment valued the company at $500 million then. In July 2017, Reddit raised $200 million for a $1.8 billion valuation, with Advance Publications remaining the majority stakeholder. In February 2019, a $300 million funding round led by Tencent brought the company's valuation to $3 billion. In August 2021, a $700 million funding round led by Fidelity Investments raised that valuation to over $10 billion.
