DescriptionAbout the teamThe Enphase System Control Innovation (SCI) team in the office of the CTO is responsible for defining, prototyping, and supporting the next generation system control solutions for Enphase products. The team is an integrated, multi-disciplinary group that is fast-moving and looking for motivated individuals that can contribute and collaborate closely with the team to deliver innovative solutions. As a member of the SCI team, you will solve some of the most exciting problems in the distributed energy and industrial power infrastructure space while helping shape the direction of our products.
What you will do- Design complex multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) including high-speed, off-board communications, power supply/switching regulator, and higher voltage (>=300V) and current (>=10A) subsystems.
- Design and own quality PCB layouts, from schematic import to production artifact release, that meet UL and IEC standards of creepage/clearance, EMC/EMI, surge, safety, and reliability
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize the integration of PCBs in products via selection of PCB technologies, stackup, form factors, thermal management solutions, mechanical interfaces, and interconnect approaches
- Maintain specifications and documentation for fabrication and assembly of PCBs and their components, including production artifacts and bill of materials
- Support signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compliance verification for PCB integration
- Mentor junior staff
Who you are and What you bring- BS/MS/PhD Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- BS and 5+ years or MS and 3+ years PCB design experience
- Significant experience designing complex multilayer PCBs with high-speed, power supply/switching regulator, and high voltage/current subsystems for commercial products
- Familiar with Cadence Allegro and Orcad
- Highly proficient with at least one PCB CAD design tool (Allegro, Altium, etc.)
- Understanding of best PCB layout practices for EMC performance
- Familiar with UL / IEC Safety Standards
- DFM, DFA, DFT
Additional Desired Skills- IPC Designer Certification CID & CID+ (or equivalent) preferred
- High-volume product development experience
