Full Job Description

Overview

The Multifamily Construction Manager oversees construction sites, sub-contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety. The Multifamily Construction Manager ensures all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures, and that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and permitted design.  The Multifamily Construction Manager discusses project progress and schedules with the site personnel and updates the Project Manager accordingly. The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring every site is operating and communicating properly, prior to signing off on the final QC Inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Manages quality and safety through jobsite visits and photo review

  • Documents the site visit findings in order to track and drive timelines

  • Travels up to 5  nights per week to visit projects in the field

  • Communicates with project manager when field issues arise

  • Follows up on previous escalations to ensure their completion

  • Reviews safety plans prior to visiting jobsite and enforces them throughout the life of the project

  • Responsible for the final job close out and commissioning verification

  • Performs daily in person analysis for quality of workmanship

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in general industry, construction, engineering or electrical trade work

  • Minimum of 5 years successful experience in commercial construction trades

  • Minimum of 5 years successful layout and print reading experience

  • Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. 

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft office and/or Google Suite Platform, Word, and Excel

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations for construction and general industry (Federal, OSHA, and the basics of other state programs)

  • Strong working knowledge of 3 phase electrical and Utility Electrical Service Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism with regard to professional presence, internal communication and customer interaction

  • Journeyman electrical certification preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business

  • Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)

  • Ability to climb extension ladders and work in attics/crawl spaces and on pitched rooftops

  • Ability to work safely on construction jobsites, and warehouses

  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions

  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time

$88,185.97 to $117,581.29
