Join Our Team as a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Epiroc!

This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging engineering projects that directly impact product performance, reliability, and innovation. The role provides exposure to product design, testing, analysis, prototyping, manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration, allowing engineers to develop both technical and leadership skills. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to solve complex engineering problems, contribute to new product development, and play a key role in advancing industry-leading equipment and technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform design, analysis, validation, and implementation of mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
  • Develop engineering solutions that improve product reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and safety.
  • Conduct structural, hydraulic, and mechanical analysis to support engineering decisions.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, BOMs, drawings, and change notices.
  • Support supplier qualification, alternative sourcing, and fit-form-function evaluations.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, manufacturing, quality, technical service, and product companies to execute projects.
  • Investigate field issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.


Knowledge/Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design, hydraulic systems, structural systems, and product development processes.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools, Teamcenter, BOM management, and engineering change processes.
  • Experience conducting engineering calculations, design validation, and root-cause investigations.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
