Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning or data science, particularly with generative models, LLMs, and computer vision.
• Strong track record with large-scale language and vision models (e.g., Transformers, GPT, VLMs).
• Hands-on experience with multimodal data including text, images, and 3D.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, pandas, and NumPy.
• Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and optimization for generative modeling.
• Experience deploying ML models using cloud microservice architecture, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical vision for the Generative AI team and establish best practices.
• Shape the AI roadmap by identifying valuable opportunities within Xometry's marketplace.
• Develop and deploy large models for multimodal document processing and data extraction.
• Explore innovative combinations of text, images, and 3D data for enhanced solutions.
• Create scalable data pipelines and training workflows for complex datasets.
• Utilize AWS and other platforms to train and deploy models at scale.
• Collaborate with engineers and business teams for effective AI product integration.
• Mentor team members on advanced ML methods and best practices.
