Full Job Description
Intuit's Professional Tax Group (ProTax) Finance team is seeking a high-performing Staff Financial Analyst to support management of revenue and operating expenses.

This role sits at the center of business decision-making and will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations leaders to drive financial clarity, accountability, and performance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, comfort with financial modeling, and the ability to translate financial results into actionable business insights.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will support forecasting, monthly financial close and forecast, annual planning, investment analysis, and performance management across both topline growth drivers and cost structure

Responsibilities

Revenue & Growth Analytics
  • Support revenue forecasting across subscription and usage-based models
  • Analyze key revenue drivers including volume, pricing, mix, retention, and delivery timing
  • Develop and implement AI forecasting models
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate pipeline, acquisition trends, attach, and customer performance as an input into planning and forecast motions
  • Identify risks and opportunities relative to forecast and proactively communicate insights
  • Develop scenario models to support growth initiatives and investment decisions


Expense Management & Governance
  • Own and manage OpEx forecasting across headcount, program spend, COGS and discretionary investments
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure disciplined spend management aligned to financial targets
  • Track hiring plans and support headcount modeling and pacing
  • Deliver variance analysis and identify cost optimization opportunities


Core FP&A Processes
  • Support month-end close, forecast cycles (Current Estimate), and annual planning
  • Prepare clear variance analyses that connect financial results to operational drivers
  • Build and maintain financial models to support decision-making
  • Develop executive-ready reporting and presentations


Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to cross-functional leaders
  • Drive accountability to commitments through data-driven insights
  • Improve financial processes, reporting automation, and modeling rigor


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 3-6+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or related analytical roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a SaaS, subscription, or technology business
  • Experience managing both revenue forecasting and expense planning
  • Experience with advanced AI forecasting tools (e.g., Cursor, Jupyter, Colab, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills (scenario modeling, driver-based forecasting, sensitivity analysis)
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., Hyperion, Essbase, Anaplan) and data tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL a plus)
  • Strong understanding of P&L mechanics
  • Ability to translate financial results into clear, executive-ready narratives
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills in a matrixed organization
