About the Role
Analog Devices is seeking a Staff Field Applications Engineer with deep expertise in power electronics to drive technical engagement and design wins with our most strategic customers.
In this senior role, you will serve as the primary technical authority on power architectures—covering board- and system-level power design, battery management, and power conversion—while also leveraging ADI’s complementary Signal Conditioning and Data Conversion technologies. You will collaborate with Sales, Business Units, and Technology Groups to influence product roadmaps, define new solutions, and ensure customer success in high-growth markets such as data centers, communications infrastructure, automotive, and industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for power solutions with strategic and key customers in the Bay Area.
- Architect complete power systems, from AC/DC front end through DC/DC conversion and point-of-load regulation.
- Identify and drive new product opportunities in collaboration with Product Line teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Line Management, Power Marketing, and Applications Engineering to ensure alignment on customer needs.
- Partner with customers to optimize designs for efficiency, thermal performance, reliability, and cost.
- Deliver technical seminars, workshops, and hands-on demos of ADI’s power design and simulation tools.
- Mentor junior FAEs and help elevate the technical capabilities of the regional applications team.
Qualifications
- BSEE (required); MSEE preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in power circuit design at the board and system level, with strong understanding of power conversion topologies.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: high-efficiency DC/DC conversion, multiphase regulators, battery management, power modules, or high-voltage conversion.
- Familiarity with complementary technologies such as Signal Conditioning and Data Converters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with both technical and executive audiences.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions, influence product strategy, and mentor team members.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent hands-on lab skills for troubleshooting and design validation.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $163,530 to $224,854.
Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
