Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field, plus 3 years of estimating experience; applicable experience may substitute for degree.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Creative and analytical thinking skills to make sound decisions swiftly.
• High attention to detail in all aspects of estimating.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, ConEst, and K-Base software.
• OSHA 10-hour certification necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for engineering and design-build construction projects.
• Assemble material and labor costs for competitive bids.
• Conduct evaluations of small and disadvantaged businesses during the bidding process.
• Solicit and pre-qualify subcontractors relevant to project needs.
• Analyze market rates for specialty and common equipment/material pricing.
• Deliver comprehensive bid packages and present estimates at meetings.
• Evaluate subcontractor labor and market conditions for strategic pricing.
