Full Job Description
Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and estimating functions for routine maintenance work, special orders, other major maintenance jobs, and small shutdowns.
• Screen Work Notifications and confirm job priority after communication with Operations Work Execution Coordinator.
• Lead the weekly planning backlog meeting to ensure the planning priority is agreed upon and understood.
• Identify all requirements for the execution of the work.
Perform Detailed Planning to include:
• Scope development, job step-outs, quality assurance plans, the identification of support resources with operations added to WO for them, and resource estimates.
• Development of safety related plans such as special PPE requirements, fall hazard plans, confined space planning, etc.
• Prepare budgets, monitor progress and cash flow spend on Special Order Requisitions (SOR), major maintenance jobs, Capital Repair, and small turnarounds.
• Ensure SOR approvals are initiated prior to job execution where it is known that the jobs will exceed the SOR amount based on estimates.
• Procure estimates, parts, and Kit and stage for execution of work
Use computers to:
• Access procedures, standards, drawings, specifications, and other information
• Access and complete required training
• Input/retrieve data
• Be available for rotational on-call duties, overtime or alternate schedules and work rotating shift as required.
• Perform other related duties as designated by supervision and as described in department SOPs related to Planning and Scheduling

Responsibilities

The Electrical Planner - Scheduler manages and controls the scheduling processes for daily work execution in area maintenance crews and/or a portfolio of smaller shutdowns annually. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Scheduler is to schedule resources in a manner that provides optimal utilization of people and equipment on the highest priority work.
• Focal point for within their area of responsibility for PMD Resources and allocation of those resources with other schedulers.
• Create daily and weekly resource loaded work schedules and issue by 3:00 p.m. each day for Daily Schedules, and by Thursday afternoon for Weekly Schedules.
• Optimize schedule resource loading to support maintenance productivity goals.
• Lead daily and weekly scheduling meetings with Operations Supervision, Operations Work Execution Coordinator, Maintenance Planner, and Maintenance Team Manager, and all support contractors in each of your assigned areas.
• Communicate as often as necessary throughout the day/week, with Maintenance Team Manager, Support resources, and Operations to account for any changes that affect the daily/weekly schedule.
• Communicate with Team Manager early in the week to determine/verify resource availability (in available hours) for the following week, accounting for upcoming vacations, known illnesses, training events, meetings, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date list of available flex jobs, resource requirements, and resource availability.
• Become comfortable looking forward for resource conflicts and can resolve those conflicts. Manage schedule changes.
• Make arrangements with all work execution groups when jobs are delayed or moved up.
• Obtain additional resources when jobs turn out to be larger than expected.

Qualifications
• Must have a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a valid motor vehicle Driver's License
• Maintenance Experience:
• Completion of the TXO Control Systems Mechanic Apprenticeship Program, OR
• Minimum five (5) years of industrial experience and knowledge in electrical and instrumentation maintenance related work execution in the refinery or petrochemical industry.

Qualifications

Desirable / Preferred Skills/Qualities:
• Associate or bachelor's degree in an associated field
• Preference for a minimum of 2 years of planning and/or scheduling electrical maintenance work in a refinery, chemical, or petrochemical manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems and electrical maintenance execution in an operating petrochemical plant is strongly preferred, including experience with motors, motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, breakers, heat tracing, lighting, and cable/conduit systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, loop drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of electrical safe work practices, isolation/LOTO requirements, permitting expectations, and area-specific safety requirements in a process manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing electrical job plans, identifying labor and material requirements, estimating job durations, coordinating required support resources, and sequencing work to support safe and efficient execution.
• Computer skills/ proficiency with multiple software packages, including corporate systems (currently: SAP Plant Maint. module, Viziya, Microsoft Office products, PowerBi, Intranet, Adobe Acrobat, other Scheduling Software Tools, etc.) ProCal
• Knowledge of process industry related safety and environmental policies and programs
• Knowledge of job estimating and productivity evaluation methods for maintenance and construction crafts
• Highly organized, self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and able to work in a self-directed environment with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
