StaffEquipment Engineer

We are looking foraEquipmentEngineerto join our team in one of todays most exciting technologies. This role willreporttoEquipmentEngineering SeniorManagerand based inFremont CA. Thisis a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support equipment across various manufacturing lines, with differing levels of complexity
  • Skilled in diagnosing and fixing manufacturing equipment
  • Automated Equipment
  • Provide support for equipment through PLC and HMI programming, encompassing motion and servo control systems
  • Ability tomodifyexisting control logic to improve safety,performanceor throughput
  • Participate in commissioning of new automated equipment and ensure all devices function as designed
  • Installation,commissioningand support of vision systems for tracking and quality inspections
  • Conducts engineering tasks in mechanical, electrical, and structural systems for testing, material handling, welding, and machining equipment
  • Oversee equipment installation as well as start-up and implementation projects
  • Develop equipment specifications and documents for the manufacturing assembly,testingand material handling processes
  • Oversee project timelines, financial planning, and prepare comprehensive status reports for leadership
  • Work with vendors, facility engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production teams to manage project implementation
  • Find ways to boost safety, cut costs, enhance efficiency, and raise quality
  • Prepare or approve system as-built drawings
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including off shifts and weekends, as required by business needs

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineeringor a related discipline
  • Manufacturing or Equipment Engineer with6+ yearsexperienceworking in a manufacturing environment
  • Functional knowledge of PLCs, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, industrial control panels, electronic sensors,pneumaticsand hydraulics
  • Equipment requirement development and specification writing
  • Knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards
  • Knowledge ofAutocad,Solidworksand MS Office suite
  • Strong communicationand collaboration skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/walk for up to8-10 hours per shift
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 25lbs
  • Use hands and fingers tooperatemachinery controls and computers throughout the shift
  • Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials
  • Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff
  • Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots)

Salary Ranges:$114,800.00 - $165,200.00
