OverviewThe Staff Enterprise Excellence Engineer leads and deploys high-impact, cross-functional improvement initiatives and projects. The role requires a deeply experienced and practicing Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who can identify and translate data into action, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance. The ideal candidate combines strong Lean and Six Sigma expertise with executive-level communication and the ability to implement lean six sigma systems, coach teams, influence leaders and team members, and build sustainable operating discipline across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex Lean Six Sigma initiatives or projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and overall operational performance.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methods including DMAIC, statistical analysis, process capability, root cause analysis, mistake proofing, and control planning to solve critical business problems.
- Leads improvement roadmap initiatives and projects aligned to strategic priorities.
- Implements value streams, perform line balancing, implements SQDCT systems, deploys 5S programs, does assessments, and leads cross-functional improvement and problem-solving sessions.
- Coaches leaders, engineers, and teams in Lean Six Sigma, daily management, visual management, and standard work.
- Mentor Green Belts and project teams through scoping, execution, tollgates, and sustainment.
- Use data and performance metrics to prioritize opportunities, quantify impact, and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Partner across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and support functions to remove barriers and accelerate execution within the site.
- Collaborates, aligns, and directly contributes to the Corporate Enterprise Excellence initiatives, systems, tools, and teams.
- Ensure all improvements are executed in compliance with company procedures and applicable FDA and ISO requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Engineering, Science, Operations, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, quality, engineering, or continuous improvement, including meaningful experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Practicing Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with a track record of applying Lean and Six Sigma tools to deliver measurable business results.
- Experience in FDA, ISO, or other regulated manufacturing environments; medical device experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong capability in Lean manufacturing, structured problem solving, project leadership, and change management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive results through others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Formal Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience leading enterprise or multi-site improvement initiatives.
- Experience coaching Green Belts or delivering continuous improvement training.
- PMP certification is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking for short periods of time.
- Ability to work in both an office and production/cleanroom environment.
- Able to travel up to 25%.
Compensation
- The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $96,000.00 –$155,000.00.
