Full Job Description

Position Summary

Just 65 miles from Center City Philadelphia, Allentown is near many major Northeastern U.S. cities, which makes it an ideal location for manufacturing and distributing consumer goods. We utilize thermal processing and high-speed canning to produce varieties of our Friskies®, Beneful® and Pro Plan® brands-product lines that we have carefully produced, packaged, and shipped since 1958. Together, we contribute to Allentown's identity as a busy industrial city, as well as a beautiful rural environment that we are truly proud to call home. That's why we are doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.

As a Staff Engineer, you will oversee capital projects from end to end, including concept, scope, estimate, cost, resources and execution. You will challenge yourself to lead the design and implementation of innovative projects with your integrity, passion and expertise to help us drive factory performance. • Participate in the development, implementation and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities
  • Prepare estimates, evaluate bids, award contracts and issue all documents and drawings for construction on assigned projects
  • Create concepts and designs in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary and budgetary procedures and specifications
  • Develop project plans, schedules and budgets; monitor progress against milestones and deliverables, and identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions
  • Direct the installation and integration of new equipment as well as modifications and overhauls of existing equipment for assigned projects
  • Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity and budgeting
  • Champion Nestlé safety, health, quality and environmental objectives and foster a work environment that enables our operations to perform among the safest companies in the marketplace
