In this role you will:
Own significant projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation and rollout - the kind of ownership the team can rely on.
Set technical direction across our healthcare data platform and member management solution - our Ruby on Rails APIs (including newer Axum-based services) and our Rust data-processing pipelines.
Have a high degree of autonomy and influence on the culture and direction of the technical organization.
Apply strong technical judgment and taste to how we build - including steering AI-assisted development effectively, where knowing what good looks like is what turns those tools into real leverage.
Raise the bar on engineering standards, processes, and code quality across the team.
Mentor engineers and serve as a technical leader others look to for direction.

Bring 10+ years of software engineering experience, including a track record of owning substantial projects from design through delivery.
Are proficient in both Ruby and Rust. Our APIs are primarily Ruby on Rails (with newer Axum-based services), and our large-scale data pipelines are built in Rust.
Have designed, built, and maintained production APIs.
