In this position...
Systems and Electrical Engineering spans a diverse range of critical customer-facing attributes, hardware, and software domains. This team will be highly technical in nature and will come from engineering and data centric team environments that have had to deliver the holistic end to end engineering life cycle from ideation through design, engineering, test and ensuring efficient industrialization.

As the Staff Systems Technical Program Manager, you will be the central point of leadership and accountability for the successful execution of complex electrical systems deliverables. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and program management skills to guide cross-functional teams through all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept to production. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring alignment, managing risks, and driving innovation within the electrical hardware systems organization.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Responsible for system deliverables end to end including Hardware and Software Integration across platform assets and vehicle milestones with emphasis on features, software and hardware.
  • Support Platform System Technical Program Management in delivering on successful Integration of hardware and software across a distributed group of technical owners
  • Define and champion the strategic vision for systems and electronics hardware and software integration, aligning with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
  • Represent the Systems organization in cross-functional forums, providing program updates and advocating for team needs.
  • Drive issue resolution from design reviews and validation builds to maintain program schedule and production timelines.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software defined ECUs from both in house and supplier developed electrical components and systems, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to define and drive a multi-year business capabilities roadmap & strategic vision.
  • Support key decisions cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy.
  • Present information effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, ranging from team level meetings to executive briefings and reviews
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to program success, developing and implementing effective interim containment plans
  • Refine ongoing processes new to Ford Motor Company in a rapidly evolving team


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in an engineering setting involving complex systems development
  • 7+ years of experience in product development process from design, development, validation and integration
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and driving successful program outcomes
  • Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise with Jira and Confluence for project management
  • Experience with JAMA for requirements documentation
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project
  • Exhibit and maintain core values of transparency, adaptability, ownership, collaboration, technical integrity, and data driven decisions

  • Master's degree in engineering or business administration
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in leading product development from concept to deployment
  • Experience launching a product from concept through production, preferably in automotive
  • An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement
  • An ability to craft clear, compelling recommendations supported by strong analysis and business logic, and articulate them to the organization to gain support for recommendations.

This position is a leadership level 6 and ranges from $150,200-$283,500.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
