DescriptionThe Aeronautics Engineering organization is seeking a
Staff Crew & Equipment Design Engineer to join our Vehicle Engineering team in
Melbourne, Florida. This position is fully onsite with no remote work available.
This individual will contribute by supporting the achievement of program requirements. Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Develop ICDs, layouts, and drawings of crew and equipment installations. NX modeling and equipment integration. Work with suppliers for integration activities.
- You may be required to attend or present at internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
- Selected candidates should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidates must be self-starters capable of flourishing in an environment with minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications: - Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 12 years of related engineering experience OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 10 years of related engineering experience.
- Must have an active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Must have prior Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:- An active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with the design, analysis and integration of environmental control systems.
- Software tools experience with NX and/or CPLM
- Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.
- Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
- Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions, within cost and schedule constraints, across the various phases of the engineering lifecycle.
Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
