Staff Action Coordinator Officer

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly motivated individual with the skills to perform as Staff Action Coordinator Officer (SACO), with additional duties as an action officer in the Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG).

The SACO serves as the primary manager for the organization's internal and external workflow and tasking requirements. They act as the central hub for the coordination, routing, and synchronization of staff actions, ensuring that all mission-critical directives from the Chairman are properly assigned and executed within established timelines. Beyond administrative tracking, the SACO provides vital quality control by reviewing staff packages for policy compliance, accuracy, and adherence to senior leader standards before they reach the Commander's desk. Ultimately, the SACO maintains the organization's operational tempo by managing the accountability systems that drive senior-level decision-making.

As an action officer in the SIG, you will provide support for high-priority projects and long-range planning that fall outside of traditional staff directorate boundaries. SIG action officers (AOs) are responsible for researching, coordinating, and synchronizing complex initiatives to support the Director's strategic vision and decision-making process.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support ETMS2 and CATMS actions for JIATF 401
  • Analyze ETMS2 and CATMS to route for appropriate completion
  • Monitor and report completion progress for managed ETMS2 and CATMS
  • Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy prior to senior management review
  • Provide consolidated responses to Senior Management for review
  • Complete assigned ETMS2 and CATMS using provided instructions
  • Develop written Standard Operating Procedures for the task management process
  • Prepare periodic reports, as required
  • Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions
  • Manage and execute the internal and external action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for user requirements
  • Screen, prioritize, and manage all incoming/outgoing task communications
  • Perform and maintain SIG support functions to include calendar management, executive communications, recognition programs, training, travel, security
  • Prepare read-ahead materials and background briefings for SIG managed engagements
  • Assist with event planning, attend and facilitate meetings, workshops, conferences and working group sessions, track status and milestones, and provide summary of meetings and meeting minutes when requested.
  • Serve as a final checkpoint for task responses, ensuring they meet rigorous formatting and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in SIG related meetings


Basic Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 10+ years of experience within any Government agency
  • Bachelor's Degree required.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
  • Demonstrated experience adapting to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
