The Opportunity:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our global finance team. This role will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our US and Canadian entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities - Ensure full compliance of all US and Canadian entities (3 operating and various holding entities) of the Group.
- Month-end close:
- Ensure relevant accounting entries are posted timely and accurately for month-end for all US & Canadian entities.
- Prepare relevant support schedules.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Prepare relevant tax schedules and support tax returns
- Support group audit: prepare audit schedules and resolve audit queries
- Responsible for US/Canada insurance program
- Support US treasury and banking
- Ad hoc projects as directed by the managers
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting
- Over 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is a plus
- Public accounting background is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with financial systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Compensation: Competitive pay and bonus eligibility
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
