Full Job Description
Sr Whey Production Manager

You will direct and coordinate activities of whey production areas in processing raw materials and manufacturing customer specific products at our Clovis, NM site:

Responsibilities:
  • Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepare operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
  • Review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
  • Resolve worker grievances or submits unsettle grievances to the Senior Production Manager or Plant Manager for action.
  • Assume overall plant responsibilities in the absence of the Whey Plant Manager.
  • Utilize GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.
  • Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates. (Food Safety Modernization Act- FSMA, Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
  • Ensure after hours response in the event of plant outage and emergencies.
