Senior Wealth Planning Strategist
The Senior Wealth Planning Strategist serves as a subject matter authority and thought leader within the Wealth Planning organization, delivering highly complex financial, estate, and tax planning solutions to TIAA's most sophisticated and high-net-worth clients. This role offers guidance on the most complex client scenarios, while proactively identifying emerging planning opportunities and bringing forward innovative strategies that address evolving client needs. Additionally, this job contributes meaningfully to the tactical and strategic direction of the Wealth Planning function to position TIAA as a leader in sophisticated wealth planning.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Delivers sophisticated financial, estate, and tax planning advisory services to TIAA's highest net worth and most influential clients, serving as the premier expert resource for Wealth Management partners on advanced and complex planning strategies.
  • Proactively identifies emerging planning opportunities and develops innovative strategies that address evolving client needs, ensuring continuous refinement of established processes and best practices across the Wealth Planning organization.
  • Spearheads the design and execution of comprehensive training programs for Wealth Management, Trust Company, and other internal business segments on complex estate, tax, and financial planning topics.
  • Authors and edits tax and planning articles for various TIAA publications, as well as assists wealth management partners with the delivery of seminar presentations to clients regarding financial, estate and tax planning strategies.
  • Assists in training Wealth Management, Trust Company and other segments of the company on sophisticated planning topics and on client relationship development plans that are focused on asset retention and account growth.
  • Conducts in-depth financial, estate, and income tax analysis and delivers tailored planning presentations to high-net-worth clients and internal Wealth Management and Trust partners.
  • Maintains expert-level command of TIAA's full suite of products and investment strategies, consulting with internal partners on how best to integrate these offerings within complex planning engagements.
  • Stays current on existing and evolving regulations, legislative rulings, and tax law changes governing product offerings and the legal and tax implications of investment decisions and strategies.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Base Pay Range: $153,000/yr - $199,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
