Pay Range: $77,180.00 - $102,899.99

Position overview

Lead daily underground mining operations in Connellsville, PA, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production while developing employees, managing equipment resources, and supporting the long-term development of the mine.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead daily underground mining operations to meet safety, production, and quality goals.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of hourly employees.
  • Manage production schedules, equipment availability, and maintenance activities.
  • Support mine development, ventilation planning, and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA, state regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.


What we are looking for
  • Leadership experience in underground mining, aggregates, crushed stone, industrial minerals, or a similar mining environment.
  • Knowledge of underground mining methods, drilling and blasting, ventilation, and mobile mining equipment.
  • Pennsylvania Underground Mine Foreman certification and applicable underground mining licenses/certifications required.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance daily operations and long-term mine development.
  • Experience managing crews, equipment, and daily mining production activities.
  • SAP or similar maintenance and operational systems experience preferred.
  • Union experience preferred.

Work environment
  • Regular exposure to underground mining environments, heavy equipment, dust, noise, varying temperatures, and industrial hazards.
  • Frequent walking, climbing, standing, and movement throughout underground mine and plant areas.
  • PPE required when entering operational areas; steel-toe boots required for site
