Job Description
CDM Smith currently has a new opportunity for a Client Service Leader within our West Transportation Group to lead sales efforts for our Bay Area transportation practice. In this position, you will work with a dynamic team to continue building our transportation business. You will lead the development of a business strategy for the increase of sales with our existing clients and developing new clients across the greater Bay Area region. This position leads the business development activities, oversees overall client service, represent CDM Smith on transportation related boards or organizations, and serve as a leader in your office and throughout the organization.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
• Developing new business and maintaining high-value relationships with clients for services in the greater Bay Area market and others where you see opportunity. • Developing and managing client teams that include project managers, technical specialists, national leaders, as well as junior staff to develop strategic capture plans, proposal efforts, presentations, and other efforts of business development. • Serving as a key member of our strategy team promoting growth in the Bay Area as well as supporting other West Transportation Group growth initiatives. • Serving as a technical or project lead as needed on projects of significant size and strategic importance. • Being active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members. • Being a strong leader internally and externally.

Skills & Abilities
• Expert knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand highly complex technical, professional and business materials.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree. • 15 years of related experience. • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong technical and business development experience in civil transportation engineering, including existing relationships with local public transportation entities such as MTC, City of Alameda, BART, SamTrans, VTA or Caltrans
• PE strongly preferred

Pay Range Min
USD $153,462.00
Pay Range Max
USD $283,878.00
Additional Pay Range Information
CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
