Job DescriptionResponsible for direct oversight of negotiations and compliance section implementing and maintaining the most cost efficient and effective modes of transportation for the Exchange worldwide. Negotiating rates for all modes of transportation consisting of small package carriers, less than truckload carriers, truckload carriers, intermodal carriers, commercial air carriers, ocean carriers, freight forwarding services, and custom clearance services. Analyzes business data requirements and services and formalizes requirements into workable business solutions. Responsible for oversight of the Exchange routing logic, maintaining the Exchange Worldwide DODDAC System, and other internal systems. Provides statistical reports on carrier performance, TMS reports, and non-compliance. Cooperative effort contact for transportation issues.

Job QualificationsSix years of supply chain management experience at the management level with four years of logistics/transportation experience. One year of experience at the pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent industry experience is required.

Bachelor's degree and four years of logistics/transportation experience with three years at the management level. One year of experience at the pay band 4-2/4-3 level or equivalent industry experience is required.

Monitors, reviews, tracks, and reports transportation cost and on-time performance for our carriers and Exchange consolidation centers to sustain a supply chain.
Develops, evaluates options, and implements compliance programs with carriers. coordinates EDI, Exchange routing logic, import process to customers worldwide.
Collaborates on various projects supporting supply chain improvements and interfaces with the Exchange contracting office on potential new ventures for logistics.
Mentor and develop personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned.
