Job Title: Sr. Trade Analyst
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Reports To: Director of Sales Finance
Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000
Trade Promotion Management & Execution
• Support day-to-day administration of the Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system, ensuring customer plans, promotional activities, pricing changes, and new item setups remain accurate and up to date
• Partner with Sales teams to maintain customer data integrity and promotional execution standards
• Help improve processes and controls that strengthen overall trade spend effectiveness
Trade Spend Analysis & Cost Savings
• Analyze retailer trade spend, fees, repayments, and collections to identify savings opportunities and reduce cost-to-serve
• Support pre-promotion forecasting and planning through data analysis across multiple sources
• Conduct post-promotion ROI analysis to evaluate effectiveness and future investment decisions
• Provide customer-specific analysis and recommendations as needed
Financial Reporting & Controls
• Assist with preparation of monthly trade spend accruals
• Support monthly reporting, KPI tracking, and analytics for management and board-level updates
• Review customer billing for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain slotting documentation and ensure required records remain current
Cross-Functional Partnership & Recovery Support
• Communicate account information with internal and external partners to resolve complex issues
• Help recover invalid deductions and support collections efforts
• Ensure compliance with trade agreements by maintaining contracts and coordinating stakeholder reviews with Sales and Accounts Receivable
What Sets You Apart
• Bachelor's degree in Business required; Finance preferred
• 3+ years of analytics experience within food & beverage or CPG
• Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles area and be able to commute to the Downtown Los Angeles office
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex spreadsheets, and automation
• Strong numerical aptitude with discounts, percentages, commissions, and financial calculations
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally at all levels
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
• Experience with syndicated data sources (IRI, SPINS, Nielsen, Retail Link) preferred
• Experience with TPM systems preferred
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, strongly preferred
• SQL or additional analytical tool experience is a plus
