Sr. Technical Program Manager, Secure Space Builds, Cornerstone - Design, Build & Operations (DBO) Team
The Cornerstone - Design, Build & Operations (DBO) Team owns and drives strategic, operational, and tactical initiatives to deliver secure spaces for AWS programs supporting our government customers globally. We empower organizations to achieve parity by offering flexible solutions that standardizes design and operations of secure spaces regardless of location, size, or customer.
This team is looking for an experienced project management professional to lead direct reports to meet strategic initiatives through cross functional teams to drive the planning, design and construction activities of secure office spaces to support the US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) communities.
This role requires someone with strong relationship building skills who will work with stakeholders on strategic planning/projects within Region Services organization. Some examples of project work may include support of delivering new or expanding current secure spaces.
You must be comfortable managing remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate technical discussions to troubleshoot project management issues and remove barriers to project success.
The ideal candidate is exceptionally analytical and has a continuous improvement mindset. They have program management skill sets and a strong communicator (verbally and written) to collaborate to solve cross-organization challenges creatively.
This position requires that the candidate selected must be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead large scale, complex facility construction and retro-fit projects
- Influence current and future region strategic planning and forecasting models
- Document and standardize cross functional processes and procedures
- Develop, communicate and maintain project road maps
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Liaison between various teams and organizations to coordinate competing activities
- Document writing and presentations up to the director level
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience in supporting / managing construction projects
- Experience in Interpretation of the National Policy Document (ICD 705, etc...), Technical Specs and other National Policy Documents
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Proven experience in managing medium-sized enterprise projects, gathering and communicating technical requirements
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
