Full Job Description
About the team and role:

At eBay, financial planning depends on trusted data, connected systems, and tools that help teams make timely decisions across our global marketplace. As Sr. Technical Product Manager, Anaplan, you will lead technical product execution for the Anaplan solution that supports monthly forecasting, annual planning, budgeting, and analysis across the business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who brings deep Anaplan expertise, strong financial planning knowledge, and a practical approach to solving complex problems at scale. You will work directly in Anaplan, partner closely with Finance and Technology, guide consultants and model builders, and help deliver reliable, scalable planning capabilities that support eBay's teams and customers.

What you will accomplish
  • Lead technical product execution for eBay's Anaplan financial planning solution, including forecasting, annual planning, enhancements, and production readiness.
  • Work with Finance, FP&A, Technology, and external partners to understand needs, translate requirements, and deliver effective Anaplan capabilities.
  • Design, build, configure, and improve connected planning models for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Support smooth planning cycles by helping ensure platform readiness, data quality, integrations, reporting dependencies, and issue resolution.
  • Guide consultants, model builders, and delivery partners across support, enhancement, and platform improvement work.
  • Improve calculations, workflows, integrations, data flows, and configurations across Anaplan and related enterprise systems.
  • Identify ways to simplify existing capabilities, improve performance, and create a better user experience.
  • Lead design reviews, testing, validation, documentation, release readiness, and support handoffs.
  • Communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and timelines clearly with Finance and Technology leaders.
  • Contribute to the roadmap for eBay's financial planning technology.

What you will bring:
  • Hands-on experience with Anaplan, including model building, configuration, support, optimization, and enterprise implementation.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and reporting processes.
  • Experience supporting planning cycles where accuracy, timing, and trust are important.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications, Anaplan designs, configurations, and delivery plans.
  • Experience guiding consultants, model builders, developers, or delivery partners without needing direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with Finance and Technology teams.
  • Experience working across production support, enhancements, roadmap planning, and platform improvement efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience implementing, configuring, supporting, or leading financial planning systems such as Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar planning technologies.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Anaplan experience.
  • Anaplan Model Builder Certification, Level 3, is required.
  • Experience with SAP Finance, SAP S/4HANA, SAP reporting, finance data integrations, or enterprise-scale planning environments is a plus.
