About the Role & Team:

We are seeking a Manager of Payments Data Science and Analytics to lead our work in Financial Services. This role focuses on enabling payments cost savings and revenue growth within Product and Business domains. Successful candidates should have a strong background in data science and analytics. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment without being slowed by ambiguity or competing priorities.

What You Will Accomplish:

  • Guide and support a group of high-performing analysts.
  • Set Analytics strategy, build and manage analytics roadmaps for Financial Services domain.
  • Define, build and track important measurements to evaluate product performance and lead product health monitoring.
  • Build and complete A/B tests, causal inference, predictive analytics to identify and quantify opportunities and drive product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Develop dashboards and other self-service data visualization tools.
  • Partner with cross functional teams (Engineering, Product, Business etc.) to identify, prioritize and solve business challenges & develop outstanding analytics solutions.


What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative fields. Having a Master's degree or equivalent experience is advantageous.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in using data to facilitate business decisions, 6+ years if possessing a Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Excellent communication, able to summarize complex analytical results and implications to senior leadership and collaborators in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Proven track record of improving data science to drive significant business impact, preferably within a product organization.
  • Experience in efficient manipulation and analysis of large data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, adapt to change and deal with ambiguity.
  • Advanced understanding of big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL, Tableau) and experimentation concepts.


Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$141,600 - C$189,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
