What is the opportunity?

As Senior Technical Lead, Employee Onboarding, you will provide technical leadership for the platforms integrations automation capabilities, and architecture that enable the employee onboarding experience across the enterprise. You will partner closely with process designers, product managers, platform teams, and engineering partners to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that improve employee readiness, productivity, mobility, and offboarding. You will serve as the primary technical authority for cross-system and orchestration onboarding technology capabilities, ensuring solutions align with business requirements, enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term architectural strategy.

What will you do?

Technical Strategy & Architecture
  • Define and maintain the target-state technology architecture supporting the employee onboarding journey.
  • Evaluate existing systems and tools that support each process within the journey.
  • Assess new technologies and capabilities that achieve onboarding outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders and delivery teams.


Platform & Capability Ownership
  • Lead technical ownership of onboarding-related platforms, workflows, and integrations.
  • Define onboarding capability roadmaps and technical enhancement priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, orchestration, and self-service capabilities.
  • Establish technical standards, design patters, and reusable solutions.
  • Support onboarding lifecycle management activities.


Integration & Automation Enablement
  • Design and oversee integrations between EUS/TI platforms, HR, identity, CRE.
  • Drive automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and improve onboarding speed
  • Ensure data flows are reliable, secure, and appropriately governed
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver integration and automation solutions.
  • Resolve technical dependencies impacting onboarding experiences.


Technical Leadership & Solution Design
  • Provide technical leadership for initiatives and projects within the onboarding portfolio.
  • Review solution designs and ensure adherence to architectural standards
  • Summary estimation, planning, and technical prioritization activities.
  • Partner with delivery teams to remove technical blockers and risks.


Operational Reliability & Supportability
  • Define monitoring, support, and operational requirements for onboarding solutions.
  • Establish service health metrics and technical performance indicators.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting for complex onboarding issues related to systems and integrations.
  • Drive root cause analysis and long-term remediation activities.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new capabilities prior to production deployment.


Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure onboarding technologies meet enterprise security, privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with GCS and risk teams during solution design.
  • Support audit responses, risk assessments, and control remediation activities.
  • Embed security-by-design principles into onboarding solutions.
  • Evaluate technical risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.


Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for onboarding capabilities
  • Build strong partnerships with platform / product owners, architects, engineers and in-business tech stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and recommendations.
  • Influence strategic technology decisions across the onboarding ecosystem.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have Experience
  • 7-10+ years of experience in technology delivery, solution architecture, systems integration, platform engineering, or technical leadership roles.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions across multiple platforms
  • Leading technical delivery teams and influencing technical direction.
  • Enterprise integrations, APIs workflow orchestration, and automation technologies
  • Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Working with security, risk, compliance, and architecture governance processes.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and systems design principles.
  • Supporting production services and operational environments.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.


Nice-to-have Experience
  • Employee onboarding, employee lifecycle management, workplace technology, or end-user computing environments.
  • ServiceNow, HR systems, Active Directory, IAM platforms, endpoint management tools, or enterprise workflow platforms.
  • Designing integrations between end user, HR, IAM, asset management, and service management systems.
  • Leading technical delivery within financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Master's degree in above fields
  • Specialized education in Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Systems Integration, Cloud Technologies, or ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
