Full Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Sr. Technical Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of regulatory and legal to sell requirements for all private branded or imported products. They will also work with 3rd party test laboratories to write, review and update protocol to ensure safety and The Home Depot product performance requirements are met through the onboarding process. They will work to align cross functional teams for new and existing processes across business units. They will keep track of new and updated regulations that may affect their product categories and monitor large projects in order to ensure products sold meet these regulations. The Sr. Analyst will work to improve private branded and imported products through benchmark testing and VE exercises to write private branded minimum product requirements. Each Sr. Technical Compliance Analyst will also drive criteria design activities for re-engineering and new product introduction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 40% Ensure compliance on new & existing product. Monitor and advise stakeholders on specific regulations to ensure compliance on new and existing product.
  • 20% Product development. Drive product improvements through supporting benchmarking, on boarding and VE activities to develop into product requirements.
  • 10% Resolve non-compliance issues. Resolve Non-Compliance issues.
  • 30% Third party collaboration. Work with vendors and 3rd party labs to verify existing sku's meet legal to sell requirements.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • This position reports to the Technical Compliance Manager.
  • This position has 0 direct reports.

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Tableau
  • Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
  • Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred education requirements: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred work experience: 5+ years of previous related work experience
  • Preferred Leadership experience: 1+ year of previous leadership experience
